Eventually realizing that his goal lacked focus, Alan set out on a more ambitious plan of becoming the funniest person in the universe. He’s about a month away, constantly.

Alan met a Russian immigrant named Flem Buttersworth while attending Duke University.

Because Flem’s surname coincidentally matched that of the company, Alan feared legal action and preemptively designated Flem co-founder and mascot of Mr. Buttersworth Productions.

Flem does not speak or understand English. He is a completely inessential part of the team.

Alan is equal parts thinker, worker, and creative. He and Mr. Buttersworth are dedicated to shaping the public’s sensibilities to suit their own weird tastes in comedy. Mr. Buttersworth Productions is particularly interested in comedians who do stand-up, sketch, and performance-based comedy.
